ACCIDENT ON PINE ISLAND

Slight concussion of the brain was suffered by a youth, E. Hawkins, of Mokoia Street, Birkenhead, through receiving a blow' on the head at a picnic at Pine Island yesterday morning. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and conveyed to the city, where the St. John Ambulance removed him to the hospital. He later regained consciousness and was able to proceed home.
