ROBOTS TAKE CHARGE
AIRPLANE FLEET SENT ON LONG FLIGHT CONTROLLED BY RADIO Reed. 10.36 a.m. LONDON, Friday. An entire squadron of VickersNapier night bombers, equipped with robot electrical pilots, were recently engaged in a series of long-distance flights from the south of England to Scotland, with automatic pilots actuated by radio from the ground, in complete charge of the machines, which were brought safely to a predetermined destination without human pilots once touching the controls.
