An inquiry was made by Cr. G. W. H-utchis©n at the recent meeting of the City Council as to what steps had been taken to carry out the recommendations of a special committee, passed in November, 1925, for the disposal Of p lant, including- a locomotive lying at Big Muddy Cre%k. The reason for lack of action was explained as follows:—(1) No instruction had been sent to carry out the recommendation of the report; (2) in the absence of definite instructions, an uncertainty w ould exist under the then existing organ isation as to which of three departments would initiate proceedings.
