TROOPS SAVE EXPLOSION IN MUNITIONS FIRE POWDER TAKEN FROM FLAMES DELHI, Friday. Gallant efforts by British troops averted an explosion of 25,0001 b of gunpowder and a large quantity of ammunition during a big fire in a Munitions factory at Kirkee, near Poona. * A sentry gave the alarm in the early morning. Two companies of riflemen, with artillerymen and members of tho Tank Corps, fought the flames for two hours with a small engine. They removed barrels of gunpowder from the blazing main Magazine. A special congratulatory order has been issued by the brigade area commander at Poona.
