MAIDS IN PINK AND BLUE ATTEND GREY LYNN BRIDE
SLINN—GADDIS A frock of ivory georgette, silver trimmed, was chosen by Vera, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gaddis, of Grey Lynn, when she was given in marriage by her father, to Eric, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Slinn, also of Grey Lynn, at the Richmond Avenue Methodist Church. ,The Rev. N. Larsen officiated at the ceremony and Mr. Athol Jonas, cousin of the bride, was at the organ. The church had been prettily decorated by friends of the bride with flowers and satin streamers, while over the bridal party was suspended a large wedding bell. The bride’s frock had a deep uneven skirt which fell from a close-fitting corsage with reliefs of silver lace. Her veil of silk tulle was caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations. Two maids attended the bride, Miss Millie Gaddis, who wore cornflower blue georgette with lemon tulle headdress and Miss Helen Hayward, of Paeroa, wearing coral pink georgette with a tulle cap to match. Both dresses were made alike and they carried bouquets to tone. Mr. Clfford Gaddis, brother of the bride was best man. Later a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, jwhere Mrs. Gaddis received her guests in a frock of navy celanese silk relieved with fawn and a hat to tone. Her bouquet was in autumn tints. Mrs. Slinn was gowned in cinnamon crepe de chine relieved with georgette and gold lace. She wore a brown hat to match and carried a bouquet in shades to tone.
