TOP-DRESSING WICKETS
ENGLISH SOIL TO BE USED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. Friday. For next season the wickets at Lancaster Park are to be top-dressed with Nottingham marl, a soil almost universally used in England for this purpose. A much faster wicket will result, and this will give cricketers experience of the class of wicket they would play on during an English tour.
