“The Man They Buried’’

Many Lovely Gowns Worn by Players Several charming frocks were worn by the players in “The Man They Buried/’ Karen Bramson’s three-act play which was produced by the Little Theatre Society last evening, in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall. Miss Ysolinde McVeagh, who played = Denise, the wife of Dr. Georges Duhamel, appeared first in a dainty frock of apricot georgette trimmed with tiny frills extending from the neck and j forming the hem of the skirt, with! pretty little'fine lace collar and cuffs.' The second change was a gown of eau de nil crepe de chine, with a closefitting bodice. At one side a deep flare fell to form an uneven hem-line. Her felt hat was in the same tone as her frock, and was trimmed with a band of white. An ermine necklet completed this becoming ensemble. A gown of old gold silk lace was next chosen. It was relieved with pastel green georgette, the bodice having a collar of the georgette, with long ends down the back, and finished with a diamente buckle at the waist. Another frock was of beige georgette, having two flared flounces dipping to the ; ankles at the back. Over this was worn a finger-tip length jacket of the; same material, with collar and cuffs of soft beige fur, and a wide band of j fur at the bottom of the jacket. With this ensemble was worn a chic little' close-fitting felt hat in the same ; shade. Miss McVeagh’s last appearance was i in sapphire-blue georgette, the hand- ’ kerchief-pointed skirt falling from a 1 close-fitting bodice. Her cloche hat; was of matching blue. Miss Constance Clark, who por- ; trayed the clairvoyant, Madam Tiffani, wore a handsome gown of petunia I georgette, the uneven skirt having two : deep flared frills. A diamente buckle worn at the waist was the finishing! touch. Miss Lola Musseler wore an evening! gown of cherry red silk lace, with uneven hemline, and her evening wrap was of primrose silk with cream fur collar. Miss Janet Clarkson wore a' frock of sea green georgette with side draperies, which fell to the i ] ankles. Over this she wore a ring j velvet cloak of the same shade, trimmed with beige fur. Others who took part were Miss Audrey Perry, as Suzanne, a maid; Miss Isabelle Lorigan and Miss Lla Brampton, as nurses.
