GALLI CURCI HISSED
In consequence of a hostile reception at performances in Budapest (Hungary), where she was hissed, Madame Galli Curci has gone to Vienna. She declares that Budapest audiences were composed of vandals and savages who were not able to understand her art. She was suffering from a cold and consequently her singing was below their expectation. The resentment of the audience was increase because of the inflated prices of the seats, ranging from £.3 in the stalls to 30s elsewhere.
