N.Z. CROQUET BUTTONS
The New Zealand Croquet Council’s buttons competition was commenced yesterday on the lawns of the Mount Eden Club. The competition is being conducted by the Auckland Croquet Association. The green was in good order, but rain interfered with the games in the afternoon. Following aro the results of yesterday’s matches:
A Grade.—Mrs. Brabant beat Mrs. Tregear; Mrs. Maxwell beat Mrs. Day; Miss Keatley beat Mrs. Guthrie. B Grade.—Mrs. Baker beat Mrs. Peckliam; Airs. Gordon beat Airs. - Beck; All’s. Collins beat Airs. Morleyl
