A GOOD TEAM

C. Donald, who has a substantial lead for this season’s trainers’ and drivers’ supremacy, will be represented at the Waikato fixture by Morning Sun, Pearl Logan, Sir Guy and Brooke Pointer. Morning Sun is more than useful, and is a strong fancy for the principal event. Pearl Logan needs no introduction to Northern lovers of the sport, as she won at Claudelands last meeting. Sir Guy is a solid type of pacer, and after seeing his form at Ashhurst and Hastings, "Abaydos" thinks the opponents of the son of Real Guy will have something to do to head him off. Brooke Pointer won recently at Greymouth over ten and a-half furlongs, and was second in the saddle heat of eight and a - half furlongs. With this team the Southerner should get some prize-money.
