FIVE STOWAWAYS

ANOTHER MAN CAUGHT FROM ULIMAROA ESCAPED TO THE SHORE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Another stowaway, Stanley Lewis Walker, aged 31, who arrived at Wellington by the Ulimaroa from Sydney on Tuesday, was before the Court today, making five caught aboard the ship during the trip across the Tasman. The police said that four others, who were dealt with yesterday, were handed over to the police on the arrival of the ship. Walker could not be found. He had managed to hide himself again, and then apparently escaped ashore. Last year he had been convicted of stowing away in Adelaide, and sentenced to 10 days’ gaol. He was fined £5, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
