HIGH SPEED AIRCRAFT FOR RESEARCH ONLY BRITAIN’S NEW FOLICY British Official Wireless Reed. 12.15 p.m. RUGBY, Wed. The Under-Secretary for Air, Mr. F. Montague, stated in reply to a question in the Commons that no further attempts on the world’s air speed record were at present contemplated. High-speed aircraft was being used for research purposes.
