GIRL GUIDES’ CORNER
The “Dominion Girl Guide” for April contains an interesting article, “Guiding in China,” by Miss Mary M. Gibson, who recently visited New Zealand. It is written in the form of a letter, and is illustrated with quaint Chinese scenes. This number also includes Guide news from all parts of New Zealand. Little Star, of the St. Thomas Company, writes: “Most of the senior Guides have left, and the company is without a lieutenant, but we hope to have our previous lieutenant back soon. At the beginning of the month three Brownies flew up from the pack, and two ‘hopped’. “We have been practising first class work for several weeks, as some of us are preparing for the needlewoman’s badge.” Swift Thought reports for the First WTiangarei Company: “It was with great rejoicing that our Guides met for the beginning of the year. Holidays are good, but Guides aid better! Our first meeting was held in the hall, where we decided for the coming year that ceremonial is to be the last Friday in the month, and court of honour the first Friday. “Our next decision was that instead of going to the hall for our second meeting, we would all go to thp park.
