TRANSFER OF INSPECTOR
MAGISTRATE PRAISES SERVICES COMING TO AUCKLAND Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Speaking in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., expressed regret at the departure of SubInspector T. Shanahan, who has been transferred to Auckland. “I wish to say how sorry the court officials are at losing the services of Senior-Sergeant, now Sub-Inspector, Shanahan,” said Mr. Mosley. “I have known him for many years and, speaking as the magistrate who has been mostly concerned with him, I have been extremely satisfied with the way in which he has conducted the business before the court. Although we congratulate him, and it is nice to see such a man getting on, we are exceedingly sorry to lose him. We hope that he will get on very well in Auckland and wish him every success.”
