WILL GO TO BALLOT
MR. J. S. DICKSON DECIDES PARNELL BY-ELECTION Today, Mr. J. S. Dickson decided to submit his name for hallo in the Reform interests in the forthcoming Parnell by-election. He had formerly stated that he would be a candidate whether he was official Reform candidate or not. Mr. Dickson made the following statement this morning: “I have given the situation very serious attention and while I feel that 1 must give the utmost consideration to the large body of my supporters who desire me to stand in any event, I cannot overlook the duty which I have to the party which I have represented in Parliament as the member for the electorate for 17 years, and for nine as Whip. “I have come to the definite conclusion that it is my duty to the party and the electors of Parnell to submit my name for selection as the official Reform candidate, and to abide bv the result as provided by the Reform Party’s constitution.”
