DUNEDIN’S FAREWELL HUGE CROWD ON WHARF Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. Rear-Admiral Byrd’s supply ship, Eleanor Boling, sailed for Papeete at five o’clock last evening. There was a big crowd, and warm farewells when the streamers between the wharf and the vessel parted. The chief engineer, Mr. McPherson, a popular figure in Dunedin, tossed his hat ashore, calling “I’ll be back in a year to collect it.” Many launches accompanied the vessel to the heads,- Byrd there disembarking in one of them.
