In the past this meeting has been run off on Orewa Beach. A full programme of races is timed I to begin at 1.40 p.m. All of the i fastest riders of Auckland will com- ! pete, promising the success of this in- ; itial meeting for motor-cycles only at the speedway. Spectators have seen, j contests between a few competitors on j this track and can judge for themselves the possibilities of fast riding and of exciting racing with large fields. ! Loud speakers will be used for mak- ! ing announcements and will also provide a musical programme during the j afternoon. SPORTS CLUB MEETING RON TO HELENSVILLE | All members of the Sports MotorCycle Club are urged to be present at : the general meeting of the club to- } night, which is to be held in the pro- | posed club rooms opposite the Pari nell Theatre. Mr. W. Marett, presii dent, states that the business is of vital I importance, and has requested a full j attendance. j The club held a run to Helensville on ! March 22. About 30 members took part, and the two world tourists who were passing through Auckland also attended. They gave an interesting lecture at the end of the run. Runs for April will be considered tonight.
