GLORIFIED BREAD PUDDING ONE and a-half cups stale bread critmbs, one pint milk, two tablespoons sugar, two eggs, one tablespoon melted butter , quarter teaspoon salt, one teaspoon vanilla , quarter cup chopped raisins. First soak bread crumbs in milk. Then add sugar, butter , and eggs, beaten together, raisins, salt, and flavouring. Place in a buttered pudding-dish and put dish in a pan of hot water. Bake in a moderate oven for about half an hour. Test with a knife , and if this comes out clean, the pudding is done.
