R EM U ERA AT WELLINGTON.—To fill up for London, the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner .Remuera arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from Lyttelton. She is scheduled to sail finally from there at daybreak tomorrow for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.
COR I NTH IC LOADING.—The Shaw, Saviil liner Corinthic left Wellington at 7 a.m. on Sunday for Timaru, to commence her Homeward loading. The vessel will later load at Lyttelton, and returns thence to Wellington to fill up. She is due back there tomorrow, and is fixed to sail finally from there on April 9 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.
PLUME DUE TONIGHT.—The latest advice received by the Vacuum Oil Company from its tanker Plume is that she expects to arrive in the stream at S o’clock tonight from Los Angeles. She is to berth at Western Wharf tomorrow morning to put out the local portion of her bulk oil. She proceeds hence to Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge.
CLAN MACALISTER LAUNCHED. To cater for the Anglo-Australian wool and general cargo trade, the Clan Line steamer Clan Macalister was launched from Greenock dockyards for Clan Line Steamers, Ltd., last month: The Clan Macalister is a steam turbine vessel of 450 feet in _ length, 62 feet in breadth, and of 10,750 tons gross register. Her average cruising speed is a little over 13 knots. Holds and cargo handling appliances have been specially designed for wool cargoes.
K* L, N GO WITH AUSTRALIAN TlM—The Union Company’s steamer kahngo arrived here this morning from Port Stephens and berthed at Central Wharf. She left that port last Tuesdav and made the passage in fresh easterly weather. The vessel brings a cargo consisting of hardwoods and general merchandise for Auckland, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Picton and Greymouth. She is to sail on Thursday for the other ports.
Captain J. Benton is in command and with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. C. G. Turner; second, Mr. W. D. Archibald; third, Mr. J. ,T. Price; radio operator, Mr. B. Martin; chief engineer, Mr. K. Finlanson; second, Mr. O. Rogerson; third, Mr. A. Booker; fourth. Mr. J. Hume; chief steward, Mr. G. Nicholas.
RUAPEHU WITH FERTILISER.—The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruapehu arrived from Antwerp yesterday afternoon with a cargo of Belgian basic slag and ground phosphates. Her unloading ports are Auckland and Wellington. The local portion of her cargo is being unloaded at Queen's’ Wharf. She left Antwerp on February 18,- and experienced an uneventful trip. Captain F. W. R.obinson is master, and has with him the following officers:— Chief Mr. S. Butler; second, Mr. R. Cox; third. Mr. H. Lawson; fourth, Mr. T. Farrar; first wireless officer, Mr. E. Lawrence; second, Mr. F. Dennis; surgeon, Dr. J. Meighan: chief engineer. Mr. D. Graham: second, Mr. G. MacDougall; third, Mr. D. Jarman; fourth, Mr. E. Roberts: fifth, Mr. J. Johnston; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. J. Sibbald: second. Mr. W. Jones; electrician, Mr. G. McNicol; chief steward, Mr. E. Coimar. FAMOUS RUNIC TO BE SOLD.—After 30 years’ faithful service on the AngloAustralian run, the White Star liner Runic, now en route from Australia to the United Kingdom, will be offered for sale in the open market on her arrival in London. The Runic, the last of five historic White Star liners. Runic, Afric. Medic, Persic and Suevic. built by Messrs. Harland and Wolff, Belfast, at the end of last centry for Australian passenger and general cargo trade, may be purchased by Ross Sea Whaling interests. and join her sister vessels. Suevic, Medic and Persic in this lucrative trade. In company with her companion vessels, the Runic, a twin screw vessel of 12.623 t.,ns gross register, had a distinguished career as a troopship both in the South African and late wrt, and several times nrrrowlv missed the fate of the s.s.. Afric. which was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel by a German U boat.
THE PORT NAPIER.—The Farmers Auctioneering Company advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Napier was to be dispatched at noon today for Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge of her general cargo from New York. OTOKIA REPORTED. —En route from San Pedro to Wellington the Union Company’s tanker Otokia has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at the capital on April 9. She brings fuel oil for discharge into the company’s tanks at Miramar. PORT CAROLINE AT WELLINGTON. —The C. and D. Line steamer Port Caroline arrived at Wellington on Sunday afternoon from Gisborne to complete loading foi’ London. She is fixed to sail finally from there on Friday for London, via the Panama Canal. MAUI POMARE SAILS 3 P.M.—The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, now at King’s Wharf, is to be dispatched at three o’clock this afternoon for Niue Island and Apia (Samoa), with passengers, mails, and cargo. Her local agent is Spedding, Ltd. ROSERIC SAILS TH U RSDAY.—Now at King’s Wharf unloading the local portion of her cargo of phosphates from Nauru Island, the Weir Line vessel Roseric is to be dispatched at noon on Thursday for Wanganui to put out the remainder. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., is the local agent. WEIR BAN K DUE TOMORROW NIGHT —The Bank Line motor-ship Weirbank is due in port tomorrow night from Makatea Island with a cargo of phosphates. The vessel will unload the local portion to the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., and is to sail later for Lyttelton to complete discharge. GOLDEN COAST FRIDAY.—The O. and O. Line’s cargo steamer Golden Coast, at present at Prince’s Wharf unloading the local portion of her general cargo from the Pacific Slope, is to be dispatched on Friday for 'Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., is the local agent for the Golden Coast. CAMBRIDGE LEAVES LIVERPOOL. —With a general merchandise cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain, the j Federal Line steamer Cambridge, left Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland, ■ Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland on May 6. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. TANKER ALGERO DIVERTED.-The tanker Algero, which was expected to reach Auckland from Borneo today, has been diverted to Wellington to unload a quantity of her bulk petrol cargo before she comes to Auckland. She is now expected to reach this port about April 9. The vessel is under charter to the Shell Company. NORTHUMBERLAND COMPLETING. —The Federal steamer Northumberland arrived at W'ellington this morning from Wanganui, to complete loading under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She will sail finally from there on April. 4 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal.

The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that its cargo steamer Ruapehu, which arrived yesterday afternon from Antwerp with a cargo of basic slag and phosphates, after discharging the local portion at Queen’s Wharf, is to be dispatched on Friday for Wellington to complete unloading. THE ZEAL AN DlC.—The Shaw, Saviil motor-ship Zealandic was to leave Lyttelton yesterday for Timaru to complete discharge of her London cargo and to commence her Homeward loading. She will subsequently load at Nelson, Wellington. Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, and is scheduled to sail finally from the lastnamed port on April 24 for London and Hull, via the Panama Canal. THE JUNE.—The Norwegian steamer June, which had been ' loading general cargo and stores for Ocean and Nauru Islands at Queen’s Wharf, was to sail for those destinations early this morning, but through demands made by the crew she was unable to leave, and put out to an anchorage in the stream early this morning, pending settlement of the matters in dispute. She was expected to clear port at about noon today. PORT VICTOR DUE 5 P.M.—Heather Roberton. Ltd., advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s vessel Port Victor left Opua at six o'clock this morning for Auckland. She is expected to arrive in port at five o’clock this afternoon, and will berth at Queen’s Wharf to continue her loading for London and West Coast of United Kingdom ports. The Port Victor is to sail later for Napier and Wellington to romplete, and is scheduled to clear Wellington on April 11 on her Homeward voyage via the Panama Canal,
CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that its cargo steamer Gabriella is to clear Melbourne on Thursday for Devonport (Tasmania) and Auckland. The vessel brings a cargo of general Australian merchandise. TASMANIA UNLOADING. Now at Queen’s Wharf dischargirg the local portion of her cargo of general merchandise from "West Coast United Kingdom ports, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tasmania is to sail a.m. on Thursday for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton. and Port Chalmers to complete unloading. Ross, City of New York, Eleanor Boling, Waikouaiti, Hinemoa, Matakana. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURES YESTERDAY HACTURC <8.30 p.m.), 270 tons. Jack-BOn-Powler. for Raglan and Kawhia. MOKIAXGA, which sailed last ninlit for Hokianjern, is due back on Thursday, and is to sail again the same day on the return trip. _ _ NGAPTHI (4.30 p.m.). 703 ton*, for Xetr Plymouth. HAUTURLT left for Raglan, Kawhia and Waikato Heads last night and is duo back at 6 a.m. on Thursday. HOKIANOA. which left late last, night, for Hokianga, is due back on Thursday. KGAPUHI sailed for Xew Plymouth last evening, and returns to Onehunga at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday. She leaves again for the same port at 3.30 p.m. the following day. REGULUS is due at Orehuttga on Friday morning from Onakaka. She will load for Nelson and West Coast ports of the South Island and sails again on Saturdaj*.
