“THE ARGYLE CASE” Popular Thomas ATeighan talks in his latest picture, “The Argyle Case, a Warner Brothers’ Vitaphone production, which is coming to the St. James on Saturday. In this film he plays the role of a criminal investigator who is called upon to unravel a tangled skein®* evidence and clues surrounding the mysterious death of a noted millionaire. John Argyle is shot dead on® night as he tries to phone the police for protection, and the whole household is implicated in the search for nu murderer. By deductive reasoning ana interesting scientific methods, Tboma* Aleighan at length is successful *** bringing home the crime to one member, but not before some highly engrossing events have taken plq,ce. Aliss Leila Lee takes the part of tno dead man’s daughter, who, while unde the suspicion of the grim detective, succeeds in winning her way into heart.
