MUNICIPAL MUSIC
POPULAR CONCERTS At the Alunicipal Band's concert at the Zoological Park yesterday an excellent programme of musical items was presented. Hymns, marches and Scottish tunes were played. Composers ranged from Ketelbey to Handel. Alassenet’s “Pliedre,” Handel's "Air” from "Rinaldo.” and Jesse’s "Parade of the Tin Soldiers” were perhaps best received. A piccolo solo, given by Air. M. C. AlcLennan, was also popular. Other numbers included the “Minuet,” from "Samson,” Ames's “Wee AlacGregor,” and Bonnisseau'a “Robert Bruce.” TOWN HALL PROGRAMME Another well varied concert was given at the Town Hall in the evening. The "Blue Danube” waltz and Beethoven’s "Egmont” were included in the programme, as were Alyddleton's "Vive I'Armee” and "Sweet Remembrance.”
