SEASON’S FINAL

BLANDFORD PARK STADIUM CONCLUDING PROGRAMME This season’s cinder-track racing at Bland Cord Park Stadium will conclude this evening, when a special programme will be presented. Special interest attaches to this evening's events, as the winner of the special cinder-track racing machine donated by O. McMillan and Co., Ltd., will be found. Whether it will be Charlie Goldberg or Cyril Walker who will win the coveted trophy remains to be seen, as both are in the running. Teats and Smith are so far deadheating for Goodwin and Moorcraft’s Cup, with McLaren close up, third. The winner of the cup depends on the results this evening. Miss Violet Matthews, New Zealand’s only woman cinder-track rider, who proved such a surprise last Wednesday evening, when she was successful in winning two heats and being placed in other events, will again compete against the men in match and handicap races. The Gold Helmet championship will also be decided for the last time this season. Altogether the programme is very attractive and the final night should be one of the most successful the Blandford Park management has ever staged. The proceeds will go to the Auckland Football Association.
