Slight facial injuries and cuts on the hand were suffered by Mr. Edward Me- - of Waihi. when a light van in which he and two companions were driving to I'aeroa early on Saturday evening came into collision with a car driven by Mr. Oswald Kennedy, of Newmarket, Auckland. Tlie other occupants of tlie vehicles escaped injury, hut the van, which is owned bv Mr. William Shandley. a fruiterer, of Waihi, was completely wrecked, while the other vehicle had a wheel torn off, and a mudguard damaged.
