RAKAMAUNGA ESTATE

AUCTION SALE HELD From Our Own Correspondent HUNTLY, Today. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. offered the 18 subdivisions of the Rakamaunga and Lake Waihi Craig estates by auction at the Huntly town hall last evening. There was a. large attendance of prospective buyers, but it was a disappointing sale and, although bidding was brisk, the reserves were prohibitive and nearly all the areas were passed in. Mr. Chris Bailey bought about 37£ acres of the Rakamaunga Estate for £2O an acre, and this was the chief sale.
