AUCKLAND LADIES’ CLUB OPENING OF SEASON The weather was perfect for the opening of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club’s season at Middlemore 3resterday. A Canadian foursome medal competition was played, tho winners being Airs. G. A. Aliller and Miss C. Rainger. Following were the best scores returned:—Mrs. Aliller and Miss C. MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the Maungakiekie Golf Club last night, the chairman, Air. W. J. A. Thompson, said that the loss for the year had been only £9, compared with £407 for the previous year. The management committee deserved great credit for this very substantial improvement. The election of officers resulted: President, Air. W. J. A. Thompson; vice-presidents. Air. J. AI. Eliffe and Air. A. AI. Goulding; captain, Air. U. AI. Rogerson; vice-captain, Air. C. TE KUITI CLUB From Cur Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Friday. At the annual meeting of the Te Kuiti Club, Air. C. H. Tate presiding, it was reported that the past season had been the most successful in the club's history. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Air. AV. J. Broadfoot, M.P.; president, Air. C. H. Tate; vice-presi-dents, Alessrs. Q. Harrison and J. C. Rolleston; club captain, Air. J. Saunders; secretary. Air. C. AI. Bathgate; auditor, Air. H. G. Shakes; committee, Alessrs. Johnston, Perkins, Harrison, Shakes and Gresham.
