PERSONAL.—Captain L. C. Boulton has been appointed master of the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, succeding Captain Wl McDonald. THE ULIMAROA.—The Ulimaroa left Sydney for Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday. She is due at Wellington on Tuesday morning. MAUI POMARE SAILS TUESDAY.— Spedding, Ltd., advises that the Maui Pomare is to be dispatched for Niue and Apia at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, taking passengers, mails and cargo. PORT NAPIER DUE TOMORROW.— A radio message has been received from the Port Napier stating that she expects to arrive of Tiritiri at 6 o’clock tomorrow* evening. The vessel is inward bound from New York with general cargo for unloading at Auckland. Wellington Lyttelton and Dunedin. She will discharge the local portion at Prince’s Wharf to the agency of the Farmers' Auctioneering Company.

THE PORT CAROLINE. —To fill up for London, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Caroline is clue at Wellington tomorrow from Gisborne. She is fixed to sail finally from there on April 4 for London, via the Panama Canal. AORANGI AT VANCOUVER. —Cabled advice states that the Royal Mall liner Aorangi reached Vancouver from Auckland on Thursday, a day ahead of schedule. The vessel is to sail on her return voyage to Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney next Wednesday. She j is due back at Auckland on April 20. PORT FAIRY TO LOAD. —The C. and D. Line advises that its motor-ship Pori Fairy is due at Auckland on April 7 from Sydney to load for London. Th vessel is due at Wellington on April 1 to fill up and is fixed to sail finally from there on April 17 for London, via the Panama Canal. RADIO FROM KIA ORA.—lnward bound from Antwerp with a cargo of basic slag and Tunisian phosphates for unloading at Auckland and New Ply-" mouth, the Shaw, Savill steamer Kia Ora has sent wireless advice that she expects to arrive in the stream here at daybreak on Thursday next. She comes to the agency of L. D. Nathan, Ltd. KALINGO FROM AUSTRALIA.—The Union Company advises that the steamer Kalingo should arrive in port about Monday evening from Port Stephens. The vessel is to berth at Central Wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo from Australian ports, and later sails for New Plymounth, Wanganui, Pic ton and Greymouth to complete unloading. CITY OF LINCOLN SAILS MONDAY. —Now at Queen’s Wharf unloading the local portion of her general cargo from New York, the Ellerman and Bucknall steamer City of Lincoln is to be dispatched a.m. on Monday for Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wanganui to complete discharge. The New Zealand Shipping Company is her local agent. CANADIAN EXPLORER DELAYED.— The local office of Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Explorer has been delayed, and will leave Wellington on Tuesday. She will not reach Auckland from Southern ports until Thursday to complete loading for New York, Boston and Montreal. It is hoped to dispatch her from here the following day. THE RANGITIKf.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor-liner Rangitiki has commenced her loading for London at Prince’s Wharf in conjunction with discharging operations. It is expected that she will be dispatched for Tokomaru Bay, Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington next Saturday to complete filling up. The vessel is scheduled to clear Wellington on April 26 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. MAIL ADVICES.—The Acting Chief Postniastei’ has received advice that mails which left. Wellington on February 25 per R.M.S. Tahiti via San Francisco, arrived in London on March 27. The S.S. Ulimaroa from Sydney, due at Wellington on April 1, has 238 bags of English, Eastern and Australian mail for Auckland. Letters should reach here by the Main Trunk on Wednesday morning next.
