JUST FAIRIES
The fairies ride on blackbirds, j So I have heard it said, With little cobweb saddles And reins of silver thread. And fussy are the fairies; Their birds are always fed On special seeds the pixies grow, ! And loaves of fairy bread. And happy are the fairies . . . In Ireland it is said They always dance an Irish jig B.efore they go to bed. Gloria Rawlinson, aged 11. FROM A LETTER Ever since I joined Happy Town l! have saved the whole Happy Town ; page each week, and now I have so many that I don’t know where, to put them. The other day I went through them all and cut out all the answers : to my letters, from the Hollow Tree, : and pasted them in a book. I also cut out all the “square” stories and the j poems and stories that I like best. ; Don’t you think that is a good idea ? i It is very interesting to read them J when I have nothing else to do. I have such a large pile of “square" stories. —Cathleen Fletcher. ! (The Happy Town talk each week is known among Sunbeams as the “square” story.)
