MUNICIPAL BAND
The fine musical programme to be played by the Municipal Band at the Zoological Park tomorrow afternoon will include the overture “Phedre,” air from “Rinaldo” and Minuet from “Samson” by Plandel. “The Parade of the Tin Soldiers,” grand selection “Robert Bruce,” suite “In a Lover’s Garden,” “Serenade D’ Amour,” “Marche Indienne,” patrol “The Wee Macgregor.” piccolo solo “Through the Air” by Mr. McLennan, and popular hymn tunes. In the Town Hall on Sunday evening at 8.30 the band will again appear and render an entirely changed programme, which will contain several “first-time” performances, among others Romance “Nadege,” “Vive l’Armee” and a fragment “Sweet Remembrance,” “Egmont” overture, “The Desert Song” selection, “Blue Danube” waltzes, and Drigo’s “La Serenata,” are also to be played. Gary Cooper, the film star, is still more than half Montana cowboy at heart. The walls of his dressing room at the Paramount studios are decorated with drawings of range life and with game specimens which he himself shot and mounted.
