PLUNKET APPEAL

£9OO ADDED TO FUNDS The appeal for funds by the Plunket Society yesterday secured a total amount of £909 2s 2d —more than £IOO above the return at last year’s appeal. From the stalls established in the streets, in the City and the suburbs, £873 19s Sd was secured. Many voluntary helpers took part in the collection. A bridge party at Ellerslie yielded the remainder of the full sum. £35 2s Gd. Six members of the society organised the party. One contribution made was £SO. Owing to the restrictions made by the Borough Council, half of the £62 collected at Onehunga has been given to the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary Fund.
