Mr. Julian B. Foster, United States Trade Commissioner to New Zealand, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. K. S. Williams, M.P. for Bay of Plenty, is present an inmate of the Mount Pleas; nt Hospital. suffering from injuries to his knoe. Commodore G. Blake, Commodore of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, left- for Wellington yesterday, where he will be on duty at the Navy Office for some weeks. He is accompanied by Mrs. Blake. Mr. J. B. Belche and Mr. K. J. V. poyson have been admitted by Mr. justice Ostler as barristers of the Supreme Court. Messrs. H. M. Wheaton and C. W. E. Hough have been admitted as solicitors. Messrs. H. B. Maynard and A. Jones, nho are attached to the British Phosphate Commission at Ocean Island, arrived in Auckland by the motorship Roseric last evening. They are accompanied by their wives. The Hon. T. Weston, M.L.C.. who has been selected to represent the employers’ organisations throughout New Zealand at the International Labour Convention at Geneva, left Wellington tor San Francisco by the M a ram a on VV’ednesday.
