THE NEW TRAMCARS, WHICH WILL BE USED ON SUNDAY for the first time, have necessitated the opening out of the lines at certain City intersections to enable the cars, which are six inches wider than the old ones to pass. The work is now being carried out (top) at the corner of Wellesley and Symonds Streets, and (lower) in Karangahape Road, at the top of Pitt Street.
