ENGINEER PREPARES REPORT Tho Auckland and Suburban Drainay©’Board’s engineer, Mr. A. H. Watkins, told members yesterday lie lieved his studies of drainage pto* blems during his overseas tour would assist him in advising the board re* yarding extension or modification oC Auckland’s system. He announced bis intention of concentrating largely on the preparation of his report, and certain preliminary recommendations he proposed to make. He considered it inadvisable for the board to discuss the details at present. The chairman. Mr. Geo. Baildon, temarked the report would be of interest to the board and the City generally* This view was endorsed by Mr. E. J. Phelan, who expressed the hope th?it as the report would be valuable to the whole Dominion, if would be available to other bodies beside the Auckland Board.
