NEW LOAN PLANNED
DRAINAGE BOARD’S FINANCES The raising of a new loan of £82,000 to repay the boo.rd’s No. 1 loan of £IOO,OOO, which was floated in London in 1909 at 4 per cent, and which matures on Alay 1 next, was discussed by the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board yesterddv. The board’s bankers advised that the money was available in London at 51 per cent at par. The chairman, Air. G. Baildon, and Alessrs. E. J. Phelan and 1. Bloodworth were authorised to execute the necessary documents. The board approved the establishment of a sinking fund of per cent, annually.
