Ke*epeehi Handicap Stayers will be in most demand here and of thp limit lot Some Dillon will
maka most appeal, although Marionette may create a surprise. Gold Sound always dangerous at Parawai. while tho trotter, Paradigm, will be going on when some of the others are crying enough. Haroto may not be ready for tho long tramp, but Haerenga Pai has shown promising form at the distance. Dealer has the testimonials so far this season for a race of this description, while Hohoro is displaying signs of developing into a solid stayer If Dealer starts ho should be favourite over Sorre Dillon and Paradigm. Parawai Handicap The trotters are given a chance to display their wares in this heat, and several on the front are of the promising type. On To Aroha showing Kopu Boy and Joy Ride are going to bo difficult to head off, while Nebraska is on the up grade, and will make things interesting. Lockade is a plodder, but black Magic can go fast and only requires to begin right to be handy at the other end. He has a later engagement. Lord Roberts is a possibility and Lady Ena may prove equal to overhauling those out in front. Black Magic, if he goes to the post, will have *i big following, with solid support for Kopu Boy and Nebraska. Puriri Handicap This race will give tlio saddle imrenants their opportunity. Tho front »ne contains some smart beginners and in this respect Gaza. Lord Lu. tTincess Betty, Student Prince. Warplane is not to be left out of calculations, nnd Explosion, if he can handle the course, should be handy at the business end, and Stony should run well. Hal Chimes looks to hold Goldman safe, .and will be one of tho hardest for the more fancied division to keep out of a place. When the figures are adjusted tho order may be Peter Pirate, Richore and Limosa. Turua Handicap The majority of those engaged in this event will be seen out earlier in the day. and the form displayed should have a good bearing on their prospects in this race. Zealous is well situated on the trout and may find most trouble from Gold Treasure, while Nathaniel should give a lot of cheek. Signor may feel the need of a race, but Some Dillon has form to recommend him at this journey. Of the remainder, My Thorpe will find most support, although Dealer, if reserved, would make those in front of him do their very best. Tho public will probably rely on Zealous (if reserved), My Thorpe and Gold T reasure. President's Handicap Again the square-gait ed fraternity will attract the attention of backers, and those that can stay out a well-run two miles will find most favour. Black Magic reads best of the limit lot. but if Kopu Boy and Joy Ride make a good display earlier, they will not lack triends. Lady Ena is on a handy mark, and will be a force to be reckoned with. Tho three-year-old Parrish Bello must bo given a good chance of adding to her list of successes, but she will meet more solid lot than she beat at Aslii hurst and Hastings. Lord Haldane ; only requires to kick off on the right foot to make if merry for the rest, while if the front lot make any mistakes Paradigm will be troublesome. Parrish Belle is absent, the best backed may be Lord Haldane, Black Magic (if reserved), and Lady Ena. Kopu Handicap There will be a good field in the final event of the day and fancies should take a fairly wide range.-Dawd-ler is a smart sort off the end, and Great Ballin is on the improve and a likely on© to upset calculations. Haerenga Pai should make it merry,
while Pavlova, if recovered from her trip, will bo in the picture. llohoro can go a smart ten furlongs, and the erratic Ursuline, a previous winner at Thames, may go well again on the Parawai track. Reliance is on a handy mark, while Richore is one to be labelled dangerous. Vanity Boy and Trustworthy will add a lot of interest to the contest, while the Otahuhu form of Benefice was reassuring, while Glandoro may effect a surprise. Hal Chimes and Warplane are a solid pair over this journey, but the public, in a good pool, may rely on Trustworthy, Richore (if reserved) and Benefice.
