Woman Candidate for Parnell By-Election

MRS. M. D REAVER SEEKS LABOUR SUPPORT Mrs. M. M. Dreaver, a prominent member of the Labour Party, and also of several women’s organisations, has been approached with a request to submit her name for selection as official Labour candidate in the Parnell by-election. Mrs. Dreaver has consented, and her nomination has been put in. Mrs. Mary Munson Dreaver is an executive member <4f the Auckland Labour Representation Committee, past-president of the women’s branch of the Labour Party, past-president Auckland East branch of the Labour Party, executive officer Grey Lynn branch of the Labour Party, and con-
venor of the Wireless Committee for the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary Committee. Mrs. Dreaver is also a member of the National Council of Women, and an executive officer of the League of Nations Union. At the Hospital Board election last year Mrs. Dreaver was one of the candidates, but was unsuccessful, polling 4,951 votes.
