NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. 1 The first appointments to the TownPlanning Board were made in January, 1927, for a term of three years, in accordance with the Act. Five of the original non-oific:al members have been reappointed. Mr. TV. E. Bush, who was the first representative of the Society of Civil Engineers, is now in Brisbane, and his place is taken by Mr. J. C. Alexander. The new representatives appointed by the Municipal Association are Mr. G. A. Troup and Mr. T. Jordan. REGIONAL COMMITTEE CONFERENCE AT TIMARU Press Association TIMARU, Thursday. Members of the Regional Committee of the Town Planning Board today met representatives of the South Canterbury local bodies to hear evidence to determine the boundaries of the regional area comprising the borough of Timaru and the surrounding district. The conference commended regional planning tin the district, and the general fetifcig was that the boundaries of the district should be the ITangitata River on the north and the Waitaki River on the south.
