MUSIC WEEK

ARRANGEMENTS IN HAND PRELIMINARY MEETING The decision of the conference of professional musicians recently to hold a Music "Week throughout the Dominion commencing on August 17 is meeting with warm support. It is hoped that as a result of this combined effort greater interest in music and a deeper appreciation of its value to the community will be awakened. Preliminary arrangements for the celebration of the week in Auckland will be discussed at a meeting to be held at the Lewis Eady Hall on April 7. The Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, will preside, and it is hoped that in order to ensure the co-operation of all organisations concerned a strong and representative attendance will result.
