BATTERY COMPETITION

HUDSON CUP TESTS WELLINGTON RETAINS TROPHY In tlie annual competition between Hie 13th Coast Battery (Auckland) and the 15th Coast Battery (Wellington) for the Hudson Cup, the holders. Wellington, retained the trophy. Out of a maximum of 600 points Wellington gained 408 and Auckland 3SB. In the electric light and enginedriving event the work of the Auckland battery was severely handicapped by lack of numbers. An outstanding feature was the excellent record made by the 15tli Coast Battery in the signalling section. Results are as follow: Fall In and Inspection, 100 points.— 15th Battery, 77 points; 13th Battery, 80 points. Shooting, 200 points.—lsth Battery, 81 points; 13th Battery, 111 points. Electric Light and Engine Driving. TOO points.—lsth Battery. 73'points: 13th Battery, 55 points.

Signalling. 100 points.—lsth Battery, 91 points; 13th Battery. 64 points. Attendance, 100 points.—lsth Battery, S 6 points; 13th Battery, 78 points.
