*. From Our Own Correspondent MORRINSVILLE. Tuesday. Mr. T. IT. Wylie, representative of die New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company in the Morrinsville district for the past seven years, has resigned from that position in order to accept the position of assistant manager of the Finance Corporation of New Zealand. in Hamilton. lie will be succeeded by Mr. W. Morrison, of Te Awamutu. On behalf of the outside staff of the company, Mr. Wylie was presented with a crystal silver mounted fruit dish, a gold albert and a fishing reel. # The impressive ceremony of the dedication of the new company colours of the Morrinsville troop of Girl Guides took place at the morning service at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church on Sunday. Canon H. R. B. Gillespie officiated and there was a large congregation. The Glides, Brownies, Scouts and Wolf Cubs paraded with their colours and standards. Mr. C. 11. McKay, who has been for nine years town clerk and secretary of the Morrinsville A. and P. Association, is leaving this week to take over a solicitor’s practice at Queenstown. Mr. McKay has been the guest at several public functions during the past 1 few days. The A. and P. Association presented the departing secretary with a gold wristlet watch. lie was the re- ; cipient of a cheque for £25 from the burgesses, and the councillors made a “ present of a heavy travelling rug. The ; Golf Club presented Mr. McKay with a case of pipes and Mrs. McKay with ; a leather hat box. At all the functions the regret at losing a popular and efficient official was evident
