Life-Saving The Boy Scouts’ life-saving competition organised by the Legion of Frontiersmen will be held at the Bayswater baths next Saturday, March 29. Bayswater boats leave at 1.30 and 2 p.m. Proud Swimming Cup and Swimming Competitions The annual contest for the Proud Cup, the Cub, Scout and 'Rover swimming races will be held at the Tepid Baths at 7.15 p.m. on Friday, May 2, entries to be sent to Scoutmaster George Iversen, 9 Bradford Street, Parnell, on or before Monday, April 16. No post entries will be acepted. PROGRAMME 7.30 p.m.— 1. IOOYds. Championship. Scouts under 14 years at date of entry. One entry a Troop. (Heats.) 2. IOOYds. Scout Open Championship.—Two entries a Troop. (Heats.) 3. 33 l-3Yds. Cub Championship —Three entries a Pack. (Heats.) 4. Rover Event. 5. Cub Relay.—Teams of four Cubs. 6. Proud Swimming Cup. (Heats.) 7. Final 33 l-3Y’ds. Cub Championship. 8. Final IOOYds. ScoLit Championship. 9. Final Cub Relay. 10. Final Rover Event. 11. Final Proud Cup. 12. Presentation Proud Cup. The announcement of each race will be preceded by a bugle note, and the race and also the next race announced, so that there will be no waiting for competitors. The Scout salute will be played by the bugler at the finish of the Proud Cup, and Scouts and Cubs are asked to come to the salute during the playing, and to remain quiet while the Cub Cup and the Proud Cup are being presented. The admission fee will be 3d for all Cuts and Scouts and children; 6d for Rovers, Scouters and the general public. Rovers A general meeting of Rovers will be held in St. David’s Hall on April 7, and all Rovers are requested to attend. The meeting will be devoted to business matters, musical items, games, competitions and supper, and an interesting evening is assured. A number of Wolf Cub caps and i a small case were left on the picnic ground at St. Heiisrs Bay, where the Wolf Cubs held their annual sports meeting and picnic, and these were handed to Mrs. Roughton for safe custody. The owners may retrieve them on applidation to Headquarters.
