UNIVERSITY CARNIVAL
The annual championships of the University College Amateur Swimming ! Club will be held tomorrow evening at the Tepid Baths. Good entries have been received for 12 championship and several handicap events. A prominent competitor will be J. P. Farrell, : captain of the club. An amusing event will be staged by the college’s Hongi Club. Grammar Old Boys play University at water polo.
WATER POLO GAME
In a water polo game in the Control Board’s competition, Ponsonby B beat Waitemata B three goals to nil, at the Tepid Baths last evening. McCarthy, P'lmsey and Johnston were the scorers. 'Next Monday evening, beginning at 7.15 p.m., Ponsonby A will play Waiteoiata B, Parnell will play H.M.S. Philomel, and Waitemata A will meet Xorth Shore.
