HUSBAND LEFT HOME
WIFE GRANTED DIVORCE A£t€>r 20 years of married life Peter Joseph Henry Walker left home, according to his wife, Grace Alary Walker (Mr. Hall Skelton), who sough; dissolution of her marriage, in the Supreme Court yesterday. Petitioner, who alleged desertion, said she was married on July 5, 1905, and she and her husband had lived in Christchurch and Dunedin, and finally settled in Newmarket some years ago. There were six children. Her husband was addicted to liquor and was habitually drunk and left her without maintenance. He had been left £l5O in 1925, but had spent every penny on racehorses and liquor. A decree nisi was granted. ORDER NOT OBEYED On the ground of his wife’s failure to obev an order for restitution of roni .jugal rights, Harry Kirby (Air. Fini lay) was granted a decree nisi against I Eleanor Kirby. The parties were mar- ‘ ried in October, 1926.
