Powell crashed lu a street at Maroubra, wrecking the telephone and electric wires, and narrowly missing a motor-car. The engine had stalled and the machine had insufficient way on to reach a neighbouring space, where a safe landing might have been effected. \ The pilot, therefore, had to make the best of the street space offering.
