Notice is hereby given that it. is the intention of the Auckland Transport Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) to apply to his Excellency the Governor-General-in-Council for an Order-in-Coun-cil under the provisions of “The Tramways Act, 1908,” and its amendments (unless forbidden by the ratepayers in manner prescribed by the said Act) to authorise the extension of the tramw|/s known as the Auckland Electric Tramways. The particulars of the proposed undertaking are as follow: (a) The construction of a double line of tramway from the present terminus near the junction of Pencavrow Avenue with Mount Eden Road, along Mount Eden Road and Three Kings Road to the intersection of the latter road with Mount Albert Road, the tramway to be worked by means of overhead electric traction known as the overhead trolley system with uninsulated return in the same manner as the present electric tramways in the City and Suburbs of Auckland. (b) Plans, longitudinal sections and cross sections showing the nature of the work and the line of construction and copies of the proposed Order-in-Council are deposited for public inspection in the office of the board at the corner of Customs Street and Albert Street, in the City of Auckland, and may be seen there during office hours.
