The Tivoli Theatre, Karangahape Road, is showing “Live, Love and Laugh,” George Jessel’s great talking and singing picture from the Civic, and “Darkened Rooms,” a talkie based on the Phillip Gibbs’s novel, starring Evelyn Brent and Neil Hamilton. The Rialto Theatre, Newmarket, is screening “Hot News,” an amusing tale of American newspaper life, starring Bebc Daniels. The Britannia Theatre. Three Lamps, is to present the splendid talkie, “Big Time,” a tale of vaudeville folk, starring Lee Tracy.
