VIEWS OF SARRON DONOVAN FIGHT A film of particular interest to boxing enthusiasts is being shown at th« RoxtTheatre from today in the views of the much-discussed Sarron-Donovan This film record is remarkably clear and follows every movement of the tw o men, so that members of the public can now judge for themselves the rights and wrongs of the foul. The film is being screened at the Roxy Theatre only, and special midday sessions have been arranged for business men, in addition to the usual sessions. Some spectacular colour scenes have been incorporated in “Peacock Alley chief picture on the Roxy programme and is also being shown at the Crystal Palace Theatre. Mount Eden. The picture has a cleverly-conceived plot which is unfolded with a delightful rapidity and freshness. The cast has been chosen with especial care, each of the principals giving a convincing portrayal. Mae Murray, who lias always been popular with Auckland audiences, has the leading role. The shorter supporting features are of an entertaining nature. GREY LYNN CINEMA ‘Four Feathers,'* the sensations' film of the British'Army in the Sudan will be presented from this evening at the Grey Lynn Cinema. The splendid story is adapted from the A. E. W. Mason novel, and is interpreted by an exceptional cast, headed by Richard Arlen, Clive Brook. William Powell and Noah Beery as a crti»i Arab chief, and Fay Wray as the gir! Part of the film was actually taken In the Sudan, and shows many scenes of w r ild animal life. Bright supports are also to be shown. DIXIELAND CABARET Dancing will be enjoyed again this evening at the Dixieland Cabaret, when the usual Monday evening dance will be held. The latest and brightest jazz music is to be played by the popular Dixieland Dance Band. Hoot Gibson, star of ‘•Courtin’ Wildcats,” Universal's hilarious ami amusing picture, got his start in films as a stunt man. He has done all sorts of hair-raising deeds with horse?, motor-cycles, automobiles and airplanes. Some of his most thrilling stunts in “Courtin’ Wildcats” are performed at the wheel of a racing automobile. Jerome Storm directed the picture, in which Eugenia Gilbert has the role of leading lady.
