MEDICAL COMFORTS DEPOT
WORK STEADILY INCREASING The Medical Comforts Depot of the St. John Ambulance Association, which was opened in 1928 at the Rutland Street Station, has been steadily increasing its work since its inception. As the benefits became more widely known the demand for articles has increased. Since the depot opened •130 articles have been loaned and most of them have been returned. The largest demand is for crutches, aircushions and invalid chairs. A small charge is made for each article loaned and in necessitous cases is reduced or remitted altogether. During the year a large number of useful articles, including invalid chairs, crutches and air-cushions, as well as smaller necessities and money have been donated, but more are needed. These can be sent to the Rutland Street Station.
