THREE CARS CRASH

COLLISION AND SKID NEAR WAIPAWA SEVERAL PEOPLE INVOLVED Press Association WAIPUKURAU, Today. Mrs. W. H. Gilchrist, of Waipukurau, received a fractured leg and abrasions when the motor-lorry her husband was driving, in which she was a passenger, collided with a motor-car driven by Donald Hepburn, ot Greenmeadows, near Waipawa, on Saturday night. She was admitted to the Waipukurau Hospital. The other occupants of the lorry were thrown clear, escaping serious injury. Both vehicles were considerably damaged. In endeavouring to avoid wreckage of the vehicles on the road a -oliowing car, driven by Harry Itathbone, a resident of Waipawa, skidded into a ditch through the application of the brakes. It capsized and landed on the hood. The driver and three passengers escaped with bruises and abrasions.
