JOINT ACTION

MOVE FOR HOSPITAL BOARDS MINISTER’S SUGGESTION A bold suggestion for putting an end to difficulties in hospital administration in the Far North has been mooted by the Hon. A. J. Stall worthy, Minister of Health, after receiving separate deputations from the Bay of Islands and Hokianga Hospital Boards this week. The two hospital boards control districts that are co-terminus with the Bay of Islands and Hokianga coLinties. The. Minister’s suggestion is for the two hospital boards to combine and thus secure common action for the control of hospital matters in the areas. A joint conference of the two boards, at which the Minister will be present, will probably be summoned within two or three weeks.
