CINDER TRACK RACING
TONIGHT’S FINE PROGRAMME WESTERN SPRINGS STADIUM Exciting contests should be seen at the Western Springs Stadium this evening when Miss Fay Taylour, Max Graham, “Skyd” Perkins, and all the local champions will be seen in action. Miss Taylour delighted a record crowd when last she appeared on the Western Springs track and. as this will be her final appearance in New Zealand, her riding will be of special interest. She will be seen in match races with Alf Mattson, Ben Bray and another Auckland rider to be selected, as well as in handicap events. Graham, who has been riding with excellent results in Dunedin and Christchurch, will be making his first appearance in Auckland. He is reported to be a spectacular rider and a hard man to beat. He will race in handicap events and will be seen in a match race against Perkins, who is making his final appearance before sailing for England under engagement to appear at YVembley Stadium. Special interest attaches to the final of the Pascoo Cup Handicap. On the last two Saturdays preliminary races have been run and it is impossible to pick the winner, the points being evenly divided. Three riders will be selected this evening to represent Auckland against Wellington and at the YVellington championship meeting.
